Our world is busy, far too busy, so stress and responsibilities often take priority, leaving little time for personal care. But many people are realising that taking a break through retreats can be a game changer. I discovered the transformational magic of retreats far too late, but I suppose better late than never. I did eventually realise that time-out is essential, not only for myself, but for everyone around me. Pressing the re-set button on a regular basis for my physical and mental well-being has now become an essential priority.
The Value of Personal Retreats
Retreats offer so much more than typical holidays or mini breaks away. In fact they should not be confused with such activities. A retreat is for your well-being, your growth and a time to focus on self-reflection, relaxation and rejuvenation. They are designed to provide a mix of structure and flexibility to enhance your personal wellness journey.

By removing daily distractions, even better, stepping out of your comfort zone by immersing yourself in an unknown culture, you will experience profound personal insights. Even a weekend away or one of my Feel Good Retreat Days can do the job! I'll definitely be organising another one soon now the weather is warming up.
Healing with Ayurveda
I have been running Retreats in Sri Lanka, blending Kundalini Yoga and Ayurvedic treatments, for the last 8 years. This combination works. It's transformational, in terms of physical health and well-being, and in bringing Light, clarity and happiness back into your life. These retreats focus on correct nutrition, nature-inspired medicines to re-establish balance in your body and mind, 3 hours of daily treatments, routine, discipline, daily morning yoga and meditation....not a typical holiday! But as your body begins to feel better, the routine gets easier and the joy spills over. Believe me it works!
Healing with Ayurveda is a retreat designed to nurture full body, mind and spirit awareness, blending Kundalini with Ayurvedic treatments and healing. This is a unique opportunity to grab hold of your health and happiness, and return home Light, enlightened and happy.

Final Thoughts
In a culture filled with constant busyness, seriousness and fear of not doing enough, carving out time for some laughter, playfulness and freedom is, in my opinion, paramount. You do not need to be a serious yogi, with years of yoga experience to benefit from a Healing with Ayurveda retreat. The retreat is designed according to each participant. But you do need to come with an open mind, free to learn & an open heart, ready to love & let go.
There is still lots of time to join my next retreat, so get in touch with me now.
10 nights at Barberyn Beach in Weligama, 25th May - 3rd June.
